Jiffy cap mandrels are used to hold abrasive jiffy caps. The seamless design makes them function smoothly. The different shapes will get into various areas. Abrasive Jiffy Caps are suited to fine finishing of metal, particularly steels. Recommended Max Speeds: 5mm dia. – 45,000rpm 7mm dia. – 32,000rpm 10mm dia. – 22,000rpm 13mm dia. – 17,000rpm 16mm dia. – 14,000rpm How to use: Identify the size of the jiffy cap you need to install or remove, and select the appropriate size of jiffy cap mandrel. For example, if you are using a 10×15 flat jiffy cap, you will need a 10×15 flat mandrel. Insert the jiffy cap onto the mandrel, making sure it is seated securely. Which Tool? Jiffy cap mandrels suit larger tools with either a chuck or collet system. Air tools, Micromotors and flexshafts are commonly used.
