ENESKArecoat 85 hard metal coating unit works due to a carbide electrode which is attached to the positive pole of a DC circuit. It is made to vibrate in the Vib85 application handpiece. The workpiece is connected to the negative pole. During the brief contact pulse between the workpiece and the electrode, the electrode is briefly overheated by the fl owing current to such an extent that, during the discharge, carbide particles from the electrode are entrained and fuse to the workpiece surface.
