LEARN TO QUILT COURSE 2025 – BLOCK A MONTH – Start date: Saturday 6th September 2025

DescriptionDate: 6th September 2025 Day: Saturday Time: 9.30am to 1.30pmLearn to Quilt – Block A Month Learn how to cut, piece and quilt on this monthly quilting course. If you’ve never quilted before or just need a reminder of the basics then this course is ideal for you. You will choose your own fabrics so you can make a beautiful quilt to be proud of! Each month you will learn a different way of piecing your fabric together to create different blocks, firstly learning how to use a rotary cutter and how to read the quilting rulers. There are nine different blocks in this quilt. You can choose to attend as many or few of the classes as you want as you can book each month as you go and make the full quilt or a smaller one. Once the blocks are complete there will be a few lessons learning how to do the sashing, quilting, border and binding resulting in your beautiful finished quilt and the knowledge to carry onto future projects.We have changed this class from a Friday evening to a Saturday which allows an extra hour per class. So each month we can probably make up to two blocks each lesson.This class will run on the first Saturday of each month.The completed quilt can be seen in the shop, hanging up just inside the front door.Finished size: 54″ x 54″ (137 x 137cm) approx.You will need to provide your own materials for this project, all available to purchase from Nimble Thimbles. Sewing machines are provided in the sewing school but you will need to bring your own equipment with you. Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials & equipment needed for this project. Tea & biscuits will be provided on each class.Classes are for 16 years and over only.
