By booking this workshop you are agreeing that your sewing skills and experience match the criteria below. This is to avoid personal frustration and to ensure that everyone has a chance to go home with a finished bag.Level 2Suitable for those who can confidently use a sewing machine, but have little or no experience of bagmakingYou need to be able to do the following –Confidently use a sewing machine to sew straight linesFollow written instructions to cut out pattern pieces accurately and add interfacing in own time (Initial guidance can be given in the shop)Sew accurate seam allowancesTopstitch with a given seam allowanceFollow instructions given by workshop tutorWork at a consistent pace to complete tasksUse a zipper foot once given initial guidance and instructionUse a ruler to measure accurately under guidanceCope with a busy day of sewingDue to the small size of this bag, you also need to be confident in manipulating the fabric to sew around the top edge.Some preparation will be required before the class ie: cutting out your pieces and fusing interfacing – advice can be given for this in the shop.During this one day workshop you will make the cute and very useful Sevien Phone Bag from Country Cow Designs patterns – perfect for when you only have a few bits to carry. Choose from Standard or Wide size. The example in the shop in the Wide size.“The Sevien phone bag is a super handy bag and a fun sewing project. It’s simple yet practical.
