DescriptionDate: 9th May 2026 Day: Saturday Time: 10.00am to 5.00pmMake this gorgeous boho inspired blouse on this one day workshop using a ‘True Bias’ pattern called ‘Roscoe’.The Roscoe Blouse is an oversized garment with a gathered neckline and raglan sleeves. The front is finished with a center slit and neckties. The sleeves are designed to hit a few inches above the wrist. The top is suitable for lightweight woven fabrics such as crepe’s, cotton lawns, viscose and any fabric which drapes well. A cotton lawn is a good fabric to use to begin with as it’s easier to use than crepe’s and viscose fabrics. Once you’ve made your first one and fallen in love with it, you can then progress to a fabric which drapes more. You can see the blouse made up in the shop in a cotton viscose, size 10 but made 2″ longer than the pattern.Pattern size: 0-18 (This is an oversized blouse so the measurements come up quite large eg: Size 10 finished bust measurement is 49.5″/126cm)Some sewing experience is needed for this workshop (ie: you need to know how to use a sewing machine and have done some dressmaking before). You will be required to cut out your pattern pieces prior to the start of the class and apply your interfacing too. This can be done at the shop if you need help doing this at a pre-arranged time. The skills you will learn will be how to read your pattern instructions, seams and finishes, how to sew a front slit, how to sew raglan sleeves, how to gather and apply cuffs and a neck binding, how to sew hems and how to use an overlocker (if you wish). You will take a pattern (worth £23.50) home with you so you can make many more at your leisure! There may be some hand sewing to finish off at home at the end of the day but you will be shown how to do this if needed and you will be shown an alternative way to finish your garment without any hand sewing. You will need to provide your own materials and tools for this class but sewing machines and pattern are provided. Once you have booked you will be emailed a list of materials and tools needed for this workshop.Age 16 or over.
